What Craftr is
Craftr is a site where homeowners browse photos of finished work and can message the shop that built it. Shops post their own portfolios. We are starting in Charlotte and will add more cities over time. Craftr is not the contractor, general contractor, architect, designer, broker, or insurer of any job. We do not hire crews, schedule work, collect deposits, or warranty results.
Accounts
You must pick homeowner or contractor when you create an account and keep that use honest. You are responsible for your login, profile, photos, prices, and messages. Don’t impersonate another shop or person.
Listings and samples
Some projects and shops are marked Sample. Those are placeholders so the feed is not empty. They are not live jobs and not real companies taking work. Only listings without the Sample tag are posted by a signed-in shop. Photos you upload must be of work you did or have permission to show.
Quotes and contracts
A quote request on Craftr is only a message. It is not a bid, contract, change order, or payment. Any agreement is between the homeowner and the shop. Craftr is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible if work is late, over budget, unlicensed, uninsured, or defective.
Licenses and insurance
If a shop says it is licensed or insured, that is the shop’s statement unless we clearly label it as verified by Craftr. Check the licensing board in that shop’s state and ask for insurance certificates yourself before you hire anyone.
Acceptable use
Don’t post illegal work, scrape the site, spam shops or homeowners, upload malware, or use Craftr to sell leads. We may hide listings or close accounts that break these rules.
Liability
The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Craftr and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or claims arising from a project you found here. North Carolina law governs these terms.
